So hows that collection coming along? Well if your looking for something new to do then I have something for you. Plant a garden! It's getting kinda late but if do get it done soon you can be successful! Find a nice place around your yard, a size that you like. Make sure it isn't packed up against a privacy fence. In other words make sure there is room for good air circulation. Next, figure out what you want to plant. Once you have done that think of the materials that you need and how you will arrange the plants so that they aren't to close to each other. Then go to the store, get what you need and get planting!
Even if your not doing a garden, it's still a good help to the environment. If you ever have any left over food like banana peels or the crust of a sandwich, put out side. I'm not saying put it on your front porch, because your parents might yell at you. But maybe in you backyard and on the ground. Watch it for a couple days and you will notice that the food disappears and dirt replaces it. That is decomposers like worms and other bugs working to break down the food and turns it into soil. This soil is rich with vitamins for plants. That's why it's good for gardens. But it helps the environment by decreasing the size and amount of trash the goes into landfills.
